Many people don’t know June is bike to work month. Not so at Terralux, where several employees participated in the June Bike Week Challenge sponsored by the City of Boulder. Terralux was in a neck and neck race all week with the Rocky Mountain Institute to have the highest participation rate of companies 50-199 people in size, and while RMI pulled out the win in the end, the HR & finance department took first place for departments 3-6 people in size with 100% participation!
18 employees biked, walked, and/or skateboarded to or from work or lunch during the week of June 5th through June 11th, culminating in a team bike to lunch event on Friday June 10th. Beyond the 234 miles traveled, preventing 83 kg of CO2 to be released, the team building both within and across departments was evident!
Company Results:
TERRALUX: 2nd Place (50-199 staff) with 32% participation
